As an attorney and former Clay County judge, Amber recognized that families facing custody and parenting disputes needed more accessible options. She helped bring the Clay County Family Mediation Program to life—creating a new resource that gives parents without attorneys access to free mediation and practical guidance before their disputes escalate in court.

Amber helped create a new Family Mediation Program for unrepresented litigants in Clay County.

The Amber Gustafson Campaign for Clay County Attorney has been involved in as many parades as possible. We kicked off in Hawley and enjoyed meeting citizens and throwing candy to all the kids in Hitterdal, Dilworth, Glyndon, Ulen, Sabin and the Greater Moorhead Days parades so far!

Amber has made headlines recently for defending treatment courts in Clay County and stated the current policy decision to pull out of these programs would be reversed on day one, if she is elected. Treatment courts are effective tools to reduce recidivism and Amber would ensure prosecutors return to the multidisciplinary treatment court teams.

Amber will reinstate participation by the Clay County Attorney's Office in treatment courts.
